Sioux Falls, SD (2020)
This former Burlington Northern freight depot was a workhorse in its day. But when the switching yard left, it was just a depot without a train. Now it’s a hip part of Downtown Sioux Falls’ East Bank revitalization.
We have a thing for old train depots, I guess. Just old stuff in general. We’re old souls finding our way in the new age. Or something like that.
Anyway, this building was doing nothing but getting older. We gave it some juice. Today there’s an engineering firm, a law firm, a salon and a brewery on the street level. Plus some cool apartments upstairs.
