Aberdeen, SD (2018)

This $22M pair of dorms, designed in collaboration with Mackey Mitchell Architects, have replaced old Jerde Hall. A product of our master plan for NSU, they were designed with student retention in mind.

Bye-bye Jerde. Or Dirty Jerde, as it was colloquially known. Great Plains East & West replaced the 1960s relic.

The two new dorms sit opposite each other with a large green space between. They closely mirror one another and have helped freshen the architectural language on campus. They also have central A/C unlike Jerde. The bar was low in that department.
