Watertown, SD (2023)
Watertown High School, home of the Arrows. We’ve helped improve this 1962 school in all kinds of ways, from athletic spaces to academic areas and everything in between.
Our first big project at WHS involved updating locker rooms, converting a pool into a multi-purpose space suitable for wrestling and tennis, and giving the hallowed old Civic Arena an interior refresh.
Then we went to work on the rest of the high school, more or less. We touched most of the classrooms, common areas, and corridors, bringing spaces up to snuff (tech, electrical, HVAC, furniture + finishes, etc.) for today’s students and teachers. We also raised the roof on the commons. Literally. Not sure what “figuratively” would imply, but it wasn’t that. The updated commons lets in lots of natural light thanks to clerestory windows made possible by the raised roof. The commons’ new sunken lounge is a popular socializing space among students.
More recently, we tackled the Allen Mitchell Athletic Complex just a stone’s throw from the high school. Home to WHS football, soccer, and track & field.
What’s next, you ask? Whatever else the Arrows need.
