Project Architect
Location: On-Site in Rapid City, SD

Overview: Our Project Architects are licensed professionals responsible for overseeing the architectural aspects of construction projects from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities
- Design: Lead the design process, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring exceptional and innovative outcomes.
- Design More: Continuously push the boundaries of architecture and explore creative solutions.
- Explain Your Design: Communicate design concepts effectively to clients, team members, and stakeholders
- Visualize Design: Utilize computer software to produce high-quality models, renderings, and graphic designs.
- Comprehensive Tasks: Engage in drafting, code compliance, project management, construction administration, and other architectural tasks.
- Collaborate and Contribute: Assist with various facets of the architecture office and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
- Influence the Design Scene: Play a key role in shaping and leading the architectural landscape.
Skills and Knowledge
- Education: Professional Degree in Architecture required; licensure preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years preferred but not required
- Skills: Strong social and technical skills; ability to work well in a team.
- Self-Motivation: Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain a positive attitude.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Revit and other relevant software for design and visualization.
Project Manager
Location: On-Site in Rapid City, SD
FLSA Status: Exempt
Overview: This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about architecture, enjoys working with a team, and has a positive disposition. You will assist in all phases of project production, engage with clients and consultants. While prior experience is preferred, it is not required. Regular in-state travel may be expected (not overnight).
Key Responsibilities
- Manages projects through all phases of design from pre-design through construction.
- Coordinates with Owner, contractor and consultants. Maintains clear and consistent communication with clients, contractors, and internal team.
- Assists in creating project estimates and costs. Meets deadlines and budgets. Monitors project progress and ensures adherence to timelines and budgets under the guidance of senior staff.
- Develops schedules, writes meeting minutes and observation reports. Maintains well organized project documentation and records.
- Assists in developing and reviewing/analyzing architectural plans and designs. Assists in the preparation of construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Leads Pre-Bid meetings, Pre-Construction meetings, and Progress meetings.
- Manages change orders, RFPs, RFIs, Addendums and notifications. Reviews and approves shop drawings and submittals.
- Assists with punch list activities, project closeout and handover to the client. Reviews As-Builts and O&Ms, Creates Record drawings.
Qualifications

- Education: Degree in Drafting, Construction, Architecture, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong organization, project management, written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience: 1-5 years in a related field preferred but not required.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Word, Excel, Revit, CAD.
- Disposition: Must be dependable, diligent, and have a fun and enjoyable attitude.
