Rapid City, SD (2022)

In collaboration with Strang, we gave Devereaux Library at South Dakota Mines a facelift. More light + more color + more amenities = more studying. Hopefully.

First you see how a bunch of windows were added to the exterior. It was pretty dark in there before.

Inside, we consolidated books to the fourth floor and opened up floors 1-3 for maximum study space, adding private rooms, a maker space, a large classroom and more. We picked furniture and finishes too.

We later caught wind that some students built the library (and the rest of campus) in Minecraft. I presume for course credit. There’s even a YouTube video.
