In addition to providing two stories and roughly 42,000 SF of 21st-century learning space, the new Business and Health Innovation Center at NSU helps anchor campus at the corner of 12th & Washington.
This project was a mere twinkle in our eye when we proposed it (or at least a version of it) in the 2017 Campus Master Plan. Today, on the site of the former Lincoln and Briscoe Halls, the Business and Health Innovation Center serves the university’s School of Business as well as its newly minted B.S. Nursing program. The Northern Innovation and Startup Center is also seated here.
A variety of learning spaces – including simulation & skills labs, tech-rich active learning classrooms, tiered classrooms, conferencing & huddle spaces, and an expansive commons – make for a diverse environment that meets the needs of all types of learners. Soft linear lighting, wood features, plenty of natural light, and scattered pops of color supplement the user experience, making this the place to be on campus.
A small addition to Graham Hall immediately to the south, plus an outdoor breezeway with arched openings connecting the two buildings, was part of the project as well.
In collaboration with Anderson Mason Dale Architects.
