Crooks, SD (2024)

With Sioux Falls steadily creeping north (and south, and east and west), the Tri-Valley public school district has seen significant growth lately. So, it was time for a new elementary. Now the young Mustangs are running strong.

This one was cooking for awhile. Our archives say we started work back in 2016, which means this project launched before some of the students of this school were even born.

We designed in two phases, but construction of the two phases overlapped. Which is not really how that’s supposed to happen. But we made it work with our friends over at Puetz. The final product is a ~110,000 SF school with lots of glass, wood, and color. A warm and welcoming place to learn and grow.

You can cruise around a bit of the school via tiny airplane if you click here.
