Watertown, SD (2023)

Watertown High School, home of the Arrows. We’ve helped improve this 1962 school in all kinds of ways, from athletic spaces to academic areas and everything in between.

This project was a full interior renovation, more or less. We touched most of the classrooms, common areas, and corridors, bringing spaces up to snuff (tech, electrical, HVAC, furniture + finishes, etc.) for today’s students and teachers.

We also raised the roof on the commons. Literally. Not sure what “figuratively” would imply, but it wasn’t that. The updated commons lets in lots of natural light thanks to clerestory windows made possible by the raised roof. The commons’ new sunken lounge is a popular socializing space among students.

A new front door and admin suite rounded out the project, giving the school a fresh face. The Civic Arena even got a new entrance canopy to match.
