Watertown, SD (2025)

In collaboration with Gensler, we’re designing Würth Elektronik’s North American headquarters to look and function like a big circuit board.

A global manufacturer of electronic components, Würth has facilities on five of the seven continents. The company’s North American headquarters, located in Watertown, SD, is due for an upgrade.

Our design won an open competition back in 2022 to earn us the work. The pitch was a building that looked and functioned like stacked circuit boards. The design allows for flexible programming with customizable work zones and lots of collaboration space.

The building will be clad in glass and metal panels and supported by a steel structure. Wood ceilings, natural light and custom brand elements will define the interior. An outdoor terrace will sit atop the base, and a glass box will float, cantilevered, over the main entrance. The building will be LEED Silver certified when all is said and done.

Substantial completion is set for Fall 2025.
